Gay Staten Island man sues four NYPD cops, city over alleged homophobic beat downA gay Staten Island man filed a federal lawsuit Thursday against the city and four NYPD cops he claims beat him in a homophobic attack that was captured on video. Louis Falcone, 31, alleges in the suit that on June 19, 2015, in his front yard, he was stomped and struck by cops with an asp, flashlights, and their fists in an attack motivated by "hate and homophobia." The cops were investigating a noise complaint apparently related to a dispute between Falcone and his brother. The homophobic slurs allegedly uttered by the cops are not heard on the video. "After a year of investigation and due diligence it is abundantly clear that Mr. Falcone was savagely and mercilessly beaten by members of the NYPD due to his sexual orientation," his lawyer Eric Subin told The Daily News.
