Man arrested after fight with neighbors while nude, police say
Marvin Gene Strozier, 21, of Greensboro, was arrested early Wednesday at Woodlands of Athens, 490 Barnett Shoals Road, where he reportedly fought with several people while naked, Athens-Clarke County police said.
Strozier said that he and his girlfriend were unable to sleep because of noise from neighbors, and a fight ensued when he confronted them, according to police. One neighbor reported that Strozier was naked during the fight, and his girlfriend was clad in only a towel while apologizing for Strozier and trying to get him away from the neighboring residence, police said.
Police noted that Strozier had a “strong” odor of alcoholic beverage about him, and that he nearly fell while they spoke with him.
He was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
