BOISE — Idaho Democrats have a new platform modeled mostly after the platform Sen. Bernie Sanders ran on during his campaign to be the Democrats' presidential nominee. Delegates approved the new platform during the state convention in Boise on Saturday. “It’s expressing a sentiment of a good deal of delegates and a good deal of the population,” said Idaho State University Vice President and delegate James Fletcher. Sanders ran away with Idaho’s primary in March, winning 78 percent of the vote to Hilary Clinton’s 21 percent. This earned Sanders 18 delegates to Clinton’s 5. Sanders even gained the majority of Idaho’s super delegates with 4 — including Idaho’s Democratic party Chairman Bert Marley — pledged to him as opposed to Clinton’s 1.
