State Board rejects alcohol sales at Boise State, Idaho football gamesBOISE — The only fans at Albertsons Stadium able to purchase alcohol before or during Boise State football games this fall will be those inside the Stueckle Sky Center. The Idaho State Board of Education denied a request by BSU on Thursday to continue alcohol sales at ‘The Huddle’, a pregame party open to all ticketed fans inside the Caven-Williams Sports Complex adjacent to Albertsons Stadium. Boise State received approval from the State Board in 2015 to sell alcohol at ‘The Huddle’, but the board reversed the decision Thursday by a 7-1 vote. A similar proposal from the University of Idaho was also rejected by the State Board. Idaho previously has sold alcohol at a pregame event called the Idaho Fan Zone near the Kibbie Dome.
