A Klamath County Jail inmate has sued every member of the jail’s staff and administration for what he claims have been violations of his rights, according to court records. Heath Allen Saunders filed suit Wednesday in federal court in Medford against “all employees of the Klamath Co. Jail,” of which he specifically named 30 in his lawsuit. Defendants include deputies, maintenance and kitchen staff and medical personnel. Saunders seeks $3.3 million for what he claims has been cruel and unusual punishment and the denial of medical services. Saunders has been in jail since April 25 and is awaiting trial in two cases on charges of burglary, theft, vehicle theft and felon in possession of a firearm. He currently faces up to 40 years in prison and is scheduled to next appear July 18 before Judge Andrea Janney in Klamath County Circuit Court.
