Clark County Commission approves pay hikes for union employeesThe Clark County Commission on Tuesday granted employees belonging to seven different unions cost-of-living pay hikes. Combined, those pay increases add up to a $10.2 million fiscal impact for the county for the years the contracts are in place. By and large, the new contracts give those county workers 2 percent pay increases, effective July 1. Salary and benefit changes are also given to non-union county workers who work in the same areas as the union employees. Some of the bargaining agreements are for a single year, while others run for multiple years.
