New nominees named for long vacant N.J. Civil Service CommissionTRENTON—The scheduled Civil Service Commission meeting this past Wednesday was cancelled—just like every other meeting this year, because it does not have enough members to conduct business. That could change soon, with the Christie administration nominating two people Thursday to the bipartisan public body, which oversees public employment, examinations, promotions and disputes in New Jersey. Gov. Chris Christie named retired Morris County Counsel Daniel W. O'Mullan of Long Hill, and Dolores Ann Gorczyca of Freehold in Monmouth County, international representative of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, which includes thousands of state workers.
