Administration officials have declined to discuss specifics about the budget that Gov. Matt Bevin will propose Tuesday. But here are some comments he has made over the past year that may shed light on the general shape of that budget:
“Bold action is needed to shrink the size of our state government and return it back to its pre-recession levels.”
“Every department, every cabinet, every single area of government will have to tighten their budgets to the absolute degree possible. … The two areas that we have got to preserve to the absolute degree possible are education and infrastructure because that is the lifeblood of our future.”
