ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico State Police arrested a suspected carjacker who led officers on a chase from Santa Fe to Albuquerque on I-25 Tuesday afternoon. An officer tried to pull over the suspect, later identified as 30-year-old Michael Farley, on I-25 northbound near the Cerrillos Road exit near Santa Fe around 2:30 p.m. Farley fled, turning around at the St. Francis Drive exit and heading toward Albuquerque, according to State Police spokeswoman Elizabeth Armijo. Farley was driving between 80 and 100 mph, and State Police were able to set up stop sticks north of Bernalillo that deflated one of his tires. But he kept driving, and got off the interstate at the Alameda exit in Albuquerque. He immediately tried to get back on and was hit by another vehicle.
