New Berlin man charged with stealing more than $200,000 from companyA Waukesha County man was charged Tuesday with multiple counts of felony theft from a business setting for allegedly embezzling more than $200,000 from a company in New Berlin. Jason M. Matthews, 44, of Muskego faces 19 counts of the charge along with one felony count of identity theft for allegedly setting up a fake vendor account with Alside Supplies/Associated Materials, LLC that was connected to the scheme, according to the complaint filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court. According to the complaint, in August, 2011 Matthews set up a vendor account for JMJ Exteriors, LLC to which he issued 103 checks totaling $232,583.55 between Sept. 19, 2011 and March 24, 2014.
