FAIRFAX — The Bellows Free Academy in Fairfax is recommending that students stay home if they are sick, after more than 100 students and staff reported becoming ill.
The symptoms reported include vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, fever, muscle aches and headaches.
The school said on its website Friday that the school nurse and Vermon tDepartment of Health are communicating about the illness. The school is telling students and staff to stay home and not return to school or work for at least 24 hours after the symptoms subside.
School officials are asking parents to contact the school nurse if a child is experiencing symptoms so the school may monitor the illness.
