Police cite attorney Don Vaughan, say teens were consuming alcohol at his houseGREENSBORO — Police cited Guilford County Attorney Don Vaughan on Sunday morning after finding alcohol at a teen party at his house, Greensboro Police spokeswoman Susan Danielsen said. Vaughan, a former state senator and husband of Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan, was cited with contributing to the delinquency of minors. He said Sunday afternoon he plans to fight the charge and that it couldn’t be further from the truth. Danielsen said around 12:30 a.m. Sunday officers visited Vaughan’s residence at 902 Sunset Drive in Greensboro after police received complaints about a large party. Danielsen said officers found 40-50 teenagers and signs of alcohol consumption. Don Vaughan said he planned a “Sweet 16” party for his daughter and some of her friends born in December.
