Two former Walt Disney Co. tech employees filed federal lawsuits against the company Monday, accusing it and two outsourcing firms of conspiring to replace workers with cheaper foreign ones here on H-1B visas. Attorney Sara Blackwell said she filed the lawsuits in federal court, in the Middle District of Florida. She is representing Leo Perrero and Dena Moore, who were both laid off about a year ago, and had worked at Walt Disney World. Blackwell is seeking class action status. The defendants in the lawsuit include HCL Inc. and Cognizant Technologies. The lawsuit asserts that the companies violated federal law because the outsourcing firms said in applications for visas to fill Disney jobs that American jobs wouldn't be affected.
