A Tarrant County judge has reduced the bail of Tonya Couch from $1 million to $75,000. If Couch, the mother of “affluenza” teen Ethan Couch, posts bail, she will be under electronic surveillance, State District Judge Wayne Salvant ruled. Couch will also have to submit to weekly check-ins and will be required to undergo regular drug testing. Her defense attorney argued during a hearing Monday that even many violent offenders in Tarrant County haven’t had a bail amount set as high as Couch’s was.
