A lawsuit filed by a Northern Kentucky University student who says she was raped by a fellow student accuses the university of retaliating against her and alleges an attorney threatened to expose “details and trauma of the attack” if she took legal action. It also says the university’s police chief made “veiled threats” against the woman. The lawsuit was filed last week in Campbell County Circuit Court on behalf of the woman, who is identified in court documents only as Jane Doe. Her accusations against an unnamed male student were handled through a university administrative process. Among the lawsuit's allegations is that the university has been “deliberately indifferent” to the woman’s plight and allowed the alleged attacker to “constantly circumvent his sanctions,” leading to inevitable encounters with her.
