KAUFMAN, Texas (AP) - A Dallas-area man who fired at least 30 shots at police and barricaded himself inside a home has surrendered after a more than eight-hour standoff. Authorities say the standoff began with the man shooting and wounding his son in an apparent domestic dispute at the home in Kaufman, about 30 miles southeast of Dallas. Relatives of the 49-year-old man told authorities he had an assault rifle, a handgun and other weapons. When officers showed up just after midnight, they found in the front yard of the home the unidentified man's wounded son. Authorities say the injured son has since been released Monday from a hospital. Read more: www.tylerpaper.com/TP-News+Local/230266/8hour-standoff-with-gunman-ends-at-dallasarea-home
