Former healthcare CEO claims he was fired for reporting $10 million in fraudulent Medicare chargesThe former CEO of a major healthcare provider in Roseburg filed a federal whistleblower lawsuit Tuesday claiming he was fired and blacklisted after reporting $10 million in fraudulent Medicare payments to Douglas County doctors. Dr. Robert Dannenhoffer, a long-time Roseburg pediatrician, claims the board of Architrave Health LLC terminated him last February after he insisted the company self-report improper Medicare payments to the Umpqua Medical Group. Umpqua is a subsidiary of Architrave. "Dr. Dannenhoffer was fired because he did the right thing," said Jennifer Middleton, the Eugene attorney representing Dannenhoffer.
