Thousands march in London to protest Donald Trump's state visitFeb. 4 (UPI) -- Thousands of people marched through the streets of London to protest U.S. President Donald Trump's scheduled state visit. An estimated 10,000 people marched from the U.S. embassy in London toward Downing street on Saturday to call for Prime Minister Theresa May to cancel the visit following Trump's travel order, The Guardian reported. May invited Trump to London during a visit to the White House in January just before he signed an executive order restricting travel to the United States for refugees and immigrants of seven predominantly Muslim countries -- Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Somalia and Yemen. Protesters from groups such as Stop the War Coalition, Stand Up to Racism and the Muslim Association of Britain marched the streets, holding signs and chanting "Theresa May, shame on you," The Sky News.
