'30 Rock' actor hands in resignation letter to President TrumpOn Thursday, ten members of the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders resigned to protest President Donald Trump’s policies. Maulik Pancholy, an actor best know for his role as Jonathan on the hit comedy “30 Rock,” was among the commissioners to step down. "Protecting civil rights and fighting against bullying were pillars of our commission's work," Pancholy said. "We cannot serve under an administration that seeks to exclude members of our society or take away their rights, especially the Muslim community, which is very much part of our AAPI community."
