Bruce Township clerk pleads guilty to super-drunken driving chargeThe Bruce Township clerk pleaded guilty today to a super-drunk charge after Michigan State Police said she backed into a patrol vehicle when troopers responded to the township hall Sept. 11 for a breaking and entering alarm. Susan Brockmann (R) pleaded guilty to her original charge of operating while intoxicated, high blood-alcohol content in 42-2 District Court in New Baltimore, court officials said today. They said she has an alcohol assessment screening April 19 and sentencing is set for April 28. Troopers were sent to the hall at 223 E. Gates St. about 3 a.m. Sept. 11 for an alarm. As troopers pulled into the parking lot, they saw a vehicle in a parking space with its lights on. As the troopers got out of their patrol vehicle and approached to make contact with the driver, the person put the car in reverse and backed into the patrol vehicle, state police said in a prior release.
