IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — A man accused of throwing tomatoes at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has pleaded guilty and will pay a $65 fine. The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports 28-year-old Andrew Alemao pleaded guilty Monday to disorderly conduct in a plea agreement with prosecutors. University of Iowa police and U.S. Secret Service officers arrested Alemao in January during Trump's rally at the University of Iowa. Officers say they saw Alemao throw two tomatoes toward Trump during a speech. The tomatoes did not hit the presidential candidate. Police say the maximum punishment he could have faced would have been 30 days in jail or a $625 fine.
