The Iowa caucus presidential campaign grinds on for so many months, with candidates fanned out among every available diner and town hall, that it's easy to lose sight of just how densely populated our 99 counties become with this quadrennial political bumper crop in the dead of winter. Especially this close to Feb. 1 harvest. So here's a different way to experience the caucuses: a single frantic day (Tuesday, Jan. 26) in the life of our first-in-the-nation circus of folksy politics. Eighteen hours. Nine candidates. Thousands of Iowans.
