Why a white man in Muskegon spreads black lives matter message through rain and shine MUSKEGON, MI – You can see him at least twice a week at various times of the day and in all sorts of weather, shouting at passing vehicles and holding up his signs. In colder months, when car windows are up, his spoken message is muffled – often indiscernible. But there’s no ignoring those signs, held aloft by a lone white man: “ black lives matter,” they read. There are other written messages too, though it’s hard to take them in unless you’re stopped at the busy intersection where Henry Street meets Sherman Boulevard in the city of Muskegon. Why is he there, so committed to his cause that he endures rain and darkness and raised middle fingers? “I’m a peace activist,” he says, stopping briefly with just 10 minutes left in his planned protest of the day. “I’m discussing issues that affect peace in the country.” www.mlive.com/news/muskegon/2022/06/why-a-white-man-in-muskegon-spreads-black-lives-matter-message-through-rain-and-shine.html
