The Sanders campaign abruptly challenged Clinton to debate in the borough, where Sanders grew up and where Clinton has her campaign headquarters.
The request came as the neck-and-neck Democratic presidential contenders are figuring out where to hold their upcoming debates.
Clinton’s campaign suggested scheduling one in Flint, Mich., to keep the national spotlight on the besieged city’s crisis over contaminated water. That debate would happen in the days before Michigan’s March 8 primary.
