Elevator repairman died after being 'dragged upwards,' officials sayGUTTENBERG — A deceased elevator repairman did not fall down an elevator shaft but actually was dragged upward, according Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez. The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office, which issued a press release Tuesday evening, is investigating the death of a 44-year-old elevator worker, who was performing "monthly maintenance on one of the elevators" in the luxury Galaxy residential complexes when he had an apparent accident, Suarez said.
