Former Gov. Felix Camacho is likely to challenge Madeleine Bordallo’s incumbency as Guam’s delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives this election season. Camacho stopped by the Guam Election Commission on Thursday to pick up a candidacy packet. “I’ve always expressed an interest in pursuing the Washington delegate office. I feel public service has been my calling,” Camacho said. “The five years I’ve been out it’s allowed me to work with family on private sector ventures. I just feel that the time is right for me to go back now.” Since leaving office, Camacho, 58, said he’s done consulting work while also working with his immediate family to develop properties for Applebee’s, IHOP and a mainland food chain coming to the island, Pieology Pizzeria.
