Christie returning to N.J. to 'take a deep breath' after lackluster showing in N.H. NASHUA, N.H. — Gov. Chris Christie announced Tuesday night after a lackluster showing in the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary that he will return with his family to New Jersey to wait and decide whether to continue in the race for the GOP nomination. "We've decided that we're going to go home to New Jersey," Christie said. "We're going to take a deep breath," he said. "We leave New Hampshire tonight without an ounce of regret." The governor said he planned to wait out the full results of the New Hampshire primary before deciding whether to continue his bid for the White House.
