NEWTON — On Monday, police responded to a Center Street home and used Narcan to revive a 51-year-old man who was suffering a heroin overdose. On Wednesday, police returned to the same home, for the same reason and for the same victim. Officers were called to the home around 4:14 p.m. Monday, where they found the victim "unconscious and in respiratory arrest," the department said in a statement. Using Narcan and rescue breathing, police brought the man back to consciousness before he was transported to Newton Medical Center. Police were called back to the home Wednesday morning, where they used the same techniques to revive the man before he was again taken to the medical center. In an interview with the New Jersey Herald, police confirmed it was the same man in both incidents.
