Sixteen hate groups, including neo-nazis, anti-gay churches and even a music label, operated in Colorado last year, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. Colorado saw five new hate groups operating in Colorado in 2015, but the state had a net gain of one group last year, said Mark Potok, senior fellow and editor of the Intelligence Report at the Southern Poverty Law Center in Alabama. Other groups folded for various reasons, Potok said. He did not know which Colorado-based groups fell off the list from 2014.
