APD: Man reportedly commits suicide during U.S. Marshals, BCSO operationALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A man wanted for violating his federal probation reportedly committed suicide as U.S. Marshals and Bernalillo County sheriff’s detectives were attempting to arrest him in Northeast Albuquerque Friday afternoon, according to a BCSO spokeswoman. Capt. Andrea Taylor said the man was wanted in Colorado for allegedly violating his probation in a case where he was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. Deputies and marshals stopped a car he was in near Lomas and Tennessee Friday afternoon. “As deputies were giving commands to the occupants of the vehicle, shots were fired from inside,” Taylor said. Officer Tanner Tixier, a spokesman for the Albuquerque Police Department, said the man was in the passenger seat of the car and put a gun to his head and shot himself.
