WASHINGTON, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton defeated Senator Bernie Sanders in the the Democratic caucus for the party's presidential nomination in Nevada on Saturday. With 85 percent of the Nevada caucus reported, Clinton led Sanders 52.5 percent to 47.5 percent, winning the third contest of the Democratic race for the party's nomination for president. Although Clinton's victory in the state was not a surprise, some wondered whether it would happen as polls in the state narrowed from a long-standing double-digit lead to more narrow one in the days leading up to the caucus. NBC, CBS, and CNN called the caucus for Clinton with about half the caucus results reported from around the state.
