Leading into Super Tuesday, Bill Clinton stumps for Hillary in Fort WorthFORT WORTH -- During a lunchtime rally, former President Bill Clinton made the case that his wife, Hillary Clinton, is the best candidate to bring the country together. Speaking Monday at Tarrant County College’s Trinity River Campus in downtown Fort Worth, Clinton said he was a long-time fan of community colleges because they are open to everyone — and used that thought to talk about unity. “I like it because it’s open enrollment because nobody is eliminated from coming because of their economic circumstances, because people are welcome regardless of their race or their religion or their gender or anything else,” Clinton said before a crowd of several hundred that included many TCC students. “Just come on. Let’s figure out what we can do together.” As a contrast to the GOP candidates, who have ramped up their verbal attacks going into Super Tuesday, Clinton spent little time talking about his wife’s opponent, Bernie Sanders. “If you look at the debates — if you can stand it in the Republican primary, they spent a minute and a half calling each other liars the other night,” Clinton said. “... didn’t know if I was watching a sixth-grade fight or a bad piece of reality TV. I can tell you one thing — it’s not good for the United States to think that is the test of leadership.” Read more here: www.star-telegram.com/news/politics-government/election/article63197737.html
