JUNEAU — The Senate subcommittee on the University of Alaska restored some but not all of the controversial budget cuts made in the House last week. The subcommittee, chaired by Fairbanks Republican Sen. Pete Kelly, approved a general fund recommendation for UA of $325 million on Friday. That’s $25 million higher than what’s in the House. The number is still a cut. It puts the UA budget about $10 million below the one proposed by Gov.
