WASHINGTON — Hoosier voters, who are used to sitting on the sidelines as presidential candidates are chosen, will have a say in the nominating process after all. Even if Republican front-runner Donald Trump sweeps the nine states that conduct contests before Indiana’s May 3 primary, he won’t have enough delegates to secure the nomination. On the Democratic side, front-runner Hillary Clinton could win enough delegates from the 14 states still to vote before Indiana. But to secure a majority, she would need to win a greater share of those delegates than she has taken in contests thus far. Here’s a look at where things stand: How many contests have been conducted?Both sides have awarded a little more than half their delegates to their national conventions. Republicans have 19 contests remaining before their July convention. Indiana has the fifth-largest pot of GOP delegates left (57), after California, New York, Pennsylvania and Arizona. My whole family is going to vote for Hillary in this primary. Even the Republicans. I also plan on voting AGAINST Pence. He's a tool.
