Jerry Jones says claim that enough data exists for link between football, CTE is 'absurd'Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that he's not convinced that a link between football and degenerative brain disease has been firmly established. Recently, Jeff Miller - the NFL's senior vice president for healthy and safety policy - said on Capitol Hill that such a link does exist. Asked by Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) if there is a link between football and brain disorders such as chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), Miller replied "the answer to that is certainly, yes." Jones, according to the Washington Post, said there was not enough data to support that claim.
