Officer charged with OWI given administrative leave without payThe Fort Wayne Board of Public Safety today approved an administrative leave without pay for a city police detective charged with drunken driving and leaving the scene of an accident. Allen County prosecutors charged 36-year-old Brent A. Roddy of New Haven last week with two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, one count of reckless driving causing serious bodily injury and one count of leaving the scene of an accident. The vehicle sheared the pole off about two feet above the ground and caused a power outage to several homes.
