There’s no such thing as bad luck when the San Jose Sharks are playing as well as they are right meow. A black cat scurried onto the SAP Center ice Friday night in San Jose and walked in front of the home Sharks bench prior to Game 1 of the Western Conference second round against the Nashville Predators. The cat hopped on for its lone shift of the night through a door near the red line and skittered down ice before exiting through the Zamboni entrance along the goal line. The Predators led, 1-0, entering the third period, prompting superstition to run wild that the little kitter had jinxed the home team. But the Sharks stormed back with five third-period goals, including two on the power play and two empty-netters, to send the Predators to the litter box in a 5-2 Sharks win.
