Police find no device, clearing scene after potential bomb threat at Annapolis mallAnne Arundel County police investigated a bomb threat that caused some shoppers and store employers to temporarily leave Westfield Annapolis mall Saturday afternoon. Police said they found no explosive devices. In a brief post on Facebook at about 4 p.m., the police said they were “investigating a potential bomb threat in the area of the Annapolis mall food court. Please avoid the area and allow the crews to do their jobs.” Outside the mall, many store employees said they had heard of a bomb threat and decided to evacuate before any notification by police. But at the time there was little police presence on the end of the mall opposite of the food court. Many gathered at the outside entrance near Noodles & Company waiting to be let back in.
