A former employee is suing the Round Rock school district, saying his firing stemmed from reporting discrimination against his supervisor. Richard Kincaid III was the district’s assistant director of career and technical education when he told a school official in February 2014 that his African-American supervisor was being excluded from important meetings and projects, according to his lawsuit. After he made the report, it says, school officials harassed and intimidated him. They then later falsely accused him of theft and provided false information in support of a police search of his home, according to to the lawsuit, which says Kincaid is seeking “more than $1 million” in damages. It says, “These actions culminated in (Kincaid’s) arrest and then his wrongful termination from his position with Round Rock ISD.” “The Round Rock school district denies any retaliation against Kincaid,” the district’s lawyer, Todd Clark, said Thursday. He declined to comment further, citing pending litigation. Read more: www.statesman.com/news/news/crime-law/man-sues-round-rock-school-district-for-more-than-/nrJSm/
