BETHLEHEM, N.H. — A young woman’s bad LSD trip that left her thrashing and out of control will likely lead to the arrest of 12 University of Massachusetts-Amherst students who were found with marijuana, and some with unlawful possession of alcohol, at the UMass Outing Club cabin on Mt. Agassiz, authorities said Thursday.
The gathering of students also appears to have connections to the UMass Cannabis Reform Coalition, said police.
At about 3 p.m. Tuesday, Bethlehem police responded to the cabin at 410 Street after one of the students called to say an 18-year-old woman there was having a bad reaction to the hallucinogenic drug LSD, said Bethlehem Police Officer Andrew Hennessey.
“We had to restrain her and put her in handcuffs,” he said. “It was something you’d see on TV.”
