Funeral services set for Texas Tech student killed in Ben Carson campaign van crashFuneral services are set for the Texas Tech student killed after a van crash while volunteering for Ben Carson’s presidential campaign Tuesday in Iowa. Services for 25-year-old Braden Joplin will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Crestview Baptist Church in Midland, according to the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
