TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie lashed out at rival presidential candidate Marco Rubio on Thursday, calling him the Florida senator a "hypocrite" who was endangering the GOP's chances of winning back the White House with his widespread attacks.
Appearing on conservative broadcaster Hugh Hewitt's syndicated radio program, Christie said Rubio had "made some very bad decisions in the last few weeks" by launching attacks on many in the GOP field, including Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Donald Trump, and Christie himself.
"There's not a person who's relevant in this race that Marco Rubio hasn't attacked," said Christie. "And I think it has caused the beginning of a circular firing squad...Marco's shooting at everybody."
Rubio's super PAC, Conservative Solutions, earlier this month opened fire on Christie with $4.7 million in attacks ads in New Hampshire and Iowa, according to Federal Election Commission filings.
