A Louisville heating and cooling company has found itself battling to protect its reputation after an employee posted racist remarks on Facebook following Muhammad Ali's death. The comments from now-former employee Wendel Goode forced the owners of Project Heating and Cooling to wage a social media campaign to combat an onslaught of negative online reviews and comments. More significantly, the episode illustrated the damage that can be inflicted when a social media explosion rains on a company for the actions of an employee. Goode insulted Ali's racial heritage and his decision to avoid service with the U.S. military during the Vietnam war. Goode did not respond to a message sent through Facebook. There was no phone listed for his Fairdale home. Company co-owner Kevin Massey declined further comment, saying that he wants to "put the whole situation behind" him.
