Ex-Pulaski County employee arrested, accused of making false insurance claimsA former Pulaski County employee is accused of making false insurance claims that netted her almost $250,000. Wanda Wyatt, 60, of Bryant processed insurance claims for incidents involving county vehicles or equipment at her job at the road and bridge department. According to her arrest report, Wyatt told police that she would create false accident reports that involved county vehicles and then submit them to the Central Arkansas Risk Management Association. The report said she would receive the checks, which were made out to fake drivers, and deposit them into her account, for a total of $248,529.62. According to County Judge Barry Hyde's office, the scheme has allegedly been going on since 2008 and is still under investigation.
