Cleveland Park Metro Flooding Issues to Be Fixed, DC Councilmember SaysA D.C. Councilmember says the city intends to address drainage issues near the Cleveland Park Metro station after storm waters gushed down the station's stairway and escalator on Tuesday. Mary Cheh, councilmember for Ward 3, said flooding in Cleveland Park is an "ongoing issue that needs to be addressed." “This is something that I’ve been working on for some time, but the challenges of coordinating between three entities—DDOT, DC Water, and WMATA--frustrated the process. But, at long last, I think we’re going to see some significant movement to address the problem,” Cheh said in a release. Within the next two months, the District Department of Transportation is expected to begin formulating a plan for the area along Connecticut Avenue between Quebec and Macomb streets. Cheh said that process will take about nine months. Read more: www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Metro-Station-Flooding-Will-Be-Fixed-DC-Councilmember-Says-384193041.html

If it marks a beginning, I welcome it. I'm sure Jonathan Wienke is a very nice guy. Too bad he chose to have such a terrible example of unchallenged personal impulse. There has to be way to disarm these nice guys who break serious law in almost whimsical but deadly manner.
At some point public safety has to trump whatever vague guaranty of even simple possession of certain types of automatic/semi auto matics that use "military" round. A full metal jacketed .223 round is a military round whether one drinks and shoots hunderts of 'em every weekend, wooooo, or not.
When my dad and I had them, we each had one, it really turned into a fairly useless weapon unless one hung with drunks in Sears camo shooting away a couple of hundred dollars worth of ammo.
Back in the day we used to use .38 plasitc shells fired by a primer only. I know we used it in a .357, a .38 and I think a Taurus 9mm.
Had a lot of fun on the cheap and no alcohol.
Why does one own a military style, military ammo'd weapon?
